Job Title: Team Leader – Expert Chase Team
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Department: Supply
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Speed Medical is one of the UK’s largest providers of Medico-Legal reporting, Rehabilitation and Mental Health services. With over 25 years’ experience, it has nurtured key working relationships with solicitors, insurance companies, small and large corporates.
Due to recent successes, we are looking to extend our Leadership Team.

Role Overview:
Our Expert Chase Team is responsible for working in partnership with our panel members, ensuring service delivery expectations are proactively managed and in line with the terms and conditions. This is a pivotal role in the business, building and maintaining working relationships is key to maintaining panel engagement and service delivery across our medical reporting areas.
The Team Leader is responsible for leading, motivating and developing the team. This includes co-ordinating team members to ensure all required information, reports and deliverables are submitted by managing delays and risks. Overseeing the day-day team activities, allocating workload and monitoring performance. They act as key point of contact between the team and management, driving communication, engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the Expert Chase team, monitoring performance and maintaining accountability against KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with medical experts to ensure cases are progressed efficiently.
- Oversee case management, ensuring cases that fall outside service level agreements are chased and resolved promptly.
- Analyse team and individual performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to maintain high performance levels.
- Prioritise workload across the team to ensure key targets are met and service levels are maintained.
- Identify consistently underperforming experts and work with the team and experts to implement strategies to make improvements.
- Produce and present regular reports on team performance, KPIs, and case progress to management.
- Ensure compliance with company processes, policies, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.

- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of managing KPIs and performance metrics.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise competing demands effectively.
- Analytical with a strong eye for detail and the ability to interpret performance data.
- Confident in coaching and developing others, providing support while holding individuals accountable.
