As Deputy Director of Nursing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio of corporate nursing priorities. Working in close partnership with Executive Directors, Care Group Directors, and Senior Nursing and Midwifery teams, you will ensure the effective delivery of high-quality, safe and patient-centred care.
The postholder will hold clear operational delivery responsibility for elements of the Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery & Patient Care portfolio, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes and sustained improvements across services. You will deputise for the Executive Director of Nursing, Midwifery & Patient Care as rquired, including attendance at Board and Sub-Board Committees, providing assurance, expert professional advice and visible leadership.
The role also includes participation in the Executive on-call rota, contributing to organisational resilience and senior decision making.
You will possess the necessary energy and credibility to lead, support and develop services and our people, delivering high quality care for our patients and improved population health outcomes. You will have a proven track record in all levels within an organisation and across a range of professional and organisational boundaries.
You will have significant knowledge and experience of professional leadership and change management, quality and service improvement methodologies and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge or current developments in the health and are sectors locally, nationally and internationally.
Welsh Language Skills (Level 3 and above / B2) are desirable for this role.
