Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. This role involves working closely with adults, offering mentoring, emotional support, and practical help to promote independence and well-being. Duties
- Provide personalised support to clients, fostering their independence and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks
- Offer mentoring and emotional support to adults facing various challenges
- Support behavioural development through teaching and engaging in educational activities
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
- Organise and participate in recreational activities that promote social inclusion and well-being
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Promote a safe environment by following health and safety guidelines at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mentoring or teaching experience is advantageous, demonstrating the ability to motivate and guide others
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and a patient demeanour
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating organisational skills and adaptability in various settings
- A genuine interest in supporting others’ development and well-being
