The opportunity leads and develops the Quality function across three aerospace/precision engineering manufacturing facilities. You'll be responsible for the overall quality of products released by the business, ensuring robust processes, audit readiness and continuous improvement across both production and the supply chain.
Lead, supervise and support the Inspection and Quality team across three facilities.
Develop and implement the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the business and its supply chain.
Ensure compliance with ISO9001 / AS9100 and maintain accreditation requirements.
Host, manage and complete internal/external audits; liaise with auditors and manage approvals.
Produce inspection reports and FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports).
Control non-conformities, manage NCRs, and oversee MRB activities.
Maintain and archive quality records in line with aerospace traceability and documentation requirements.
Train and coach staff; ensure consistent standards and ways of working.
Manage workload across Quality Engineers; ensure actions are completed promptly and to the required standard.
Ensure audit open findings are closed out efficiently and effectively.
Monitor production, perform periodic QC checks, and implement process improvements to increase product quality.
Work with team leaders to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure supplier materials are checked/verified prior to incorporation into product.
Investigate root causes and drive solutions to prevent recurrence.
Complete other duties within capability as directed.
