Payroll Officer — Part-Time | 25 Hours | Flexible Working Keighley | £23,333 (25 hrs/week) | Equivalent to £35,000 FTE
This role is built around you.
25 hours a week, spread across five days, with flexibility on when you start and finish. If you're an experienced payroll professional who wants to keep doing work you're genuinely good at — without the full-time pressure — this could be exactly what you've been looking for.
We're working with a well-established manufacturing business in Keighley to find a Payroll Officer who'll own their end-to-end monthly payroll for around 350 employees. It's a hands-on, autonomous role where your expertise will be valued from day one.
What the role involves
- Running the full monthly payroll cycle — accurately, on time, every time
- Managing PAYE, NI, pensions auto-enrolment and attachment of earnings
- Handling EPS/FPS submissions and monthly reconciliations
- Supporting starters, leavers, tax code changes and pay rate updates
- Liaising with agencies and internal teams on payroll queries
- Getting involved in T&A and payroll system improvements when you want to
What we're looking for
Solid, hands-on end-to-end payroll experience — you've run a full payroll cycle before and you're comfortable doing it solo. You're methodical, accurate, and the kind of person who spots a problem before it becomes one. A payroll qualification is a bonus but experience always speaks louder here.
Confidnece with Excel is also a necessity as you'll be wokring with this daily.
Why this role works for the right person
- Genuinely flexible hours — you choose your start and finish times around the core 25 hrs
- Local — Keighley-based, no lengthy commute
- Respected and trusted — small finance team where your contribution is visible and valued
- Real autonomy — this is your payroll, you own it
