Overview
We are seeking a diligent Industrial Cleaner/Labourer to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and assisting with various labour tasks within the catering sector, deep cleaning kitchens and grease ducts, or industrial environments. Also the applicant will be required to take a IPAF course to operate boom lifts and scissor lifts for high level work. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop practical skills in a dynamic setting, with paid employment from the outset. Candidates should be reliable, physically fit, and eager to contribute to the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Perform cleaning duties on various sites, as we serve approx 100 schools in the midlands and north west of England. and industrial facilities, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist with general labour tasks, including moving materials and minor assembly work
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently under supervision, cutting of grass, and tending gardens (commercial only- non domestic)
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas throughout shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial/industrial cleaning would be preferred.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety procedures
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential
- Hours of work will vary depending where we are working day to day, generally with a start time between 6.30- 7.30 am.
- Summer months are the busiest working in schools.

Pay: £12.95-£13.45 per hour
