Operations Manager

We're a family run event decor and marquee hire company with a passion for creating unforgettable events. From weddings and private celebrations to corporate functions and large scale outdoor events, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and high quality installations.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and hands on Operations Manager to help lead our day to day operations and ensure every event runs smoothly from planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operations of the business.
- Plan and coordinate event installations and dismantles.
- Manage staff rotas, workloads, and deployment.
- Lead, motivate, and support installation and warehouse teams.
- Ensure all equipment is prepared, maintained, and ready for each event.
- Coordinate vehicle movements, deliveries, and logistics.
- Monitor health and safety procedures and ensure compliance.
- Manage stock levels and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and venue contacts when required.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
- Support the directors with operational planning and business growth.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in an operations management.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A practical, proactive, and solutions focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the events, marquee hire, hospitality, or event production industry.
- Knowledge of temporary structures or event logistics.
- Experience managing vehicles, warehouses, or operational teams.

Working Hours
This role involves a mix of office, warehouse, and on site event work. Flexibility is essential, as evenings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods form part of the events industry.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
