Position: Full-time Store Manager
Maya’s Stores is looking for a new Store Manager to join and lead our Leeds location.
We are a specialty coffee shop with a strong focus on quality, service, speed, and team culture. We are looking for someone who already has solid hospitality and coffee experience, someone who can confidently step behind the bar and understand what needs to be done without being taught everything from zero.
This role would suit someone ambitious, proactive, straightforward, and comfortable taking responsibility. You do not need to know every managerial process from day one — we will provide training on systems, paperwork, ordering, reporting, and the operational side of management. However, you do need to already understand coffee, workflow, customer service, and what a well-run café should feel like.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in coffee or specialty coffee
- Confidence working behind the bar
- Good understanding of espresso, milk steaming, workflow, and service standards
- Previous experience leading a team, supervising shifts, or managing hospitality operations
- A proactive attitude — someone who sees what needs doing and does it
- Strong communication skills
- A straightforward, honest, and responsible approach
- Ambition to grow with the company
- Availability to start immediately
Your responsibilities will include
- Leading the day-to-day running of the shop
- Maintaining high coffee and customer service standards
- Supporting and training the team
- Managing workflow during busy periods
- Keeping the shop clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Handling stock, ordering, and basic operational tasks
- Working closely with the wider Maya’s Stores team
- Helping create a positive, professional, and efficient work environment
