Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Hod Carrier / Bricklayer’s Labourer to support our bricklaying teams on site.
The role involves keeping bricklayers supplied with materials, maintaining a clean and safe working area, and helping the site team work efficiently throughout the day. You’ll need to be physically fit, dependable, and able to work well as part of a busy construction team.
Responsibilities
- Loading out bricks, blocks, mortar, insulation, wall ties and other materials
- Mixing mortar to the correct consistency
- Keeping bricklayers supplied so work can continue efficiently
- Moving materials safely around site
- Setting up and tidying work areas
- Cleaning tools, tubs, boards and workstations as required
- Assisting with general site labouring duties
- Following site health and safety rules at all times
- Working alongside bricklayers, site managers and other trades
- Reporting any hazards, damaged equipment or material shortages
Requirements
- Previous experience as a hod carrier or bricklayer’s labourer preferred
- Good understanding of site safety
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work hard
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- CSCS card preferred/required
- Own PPE required: safety boots, hi-vis, hard hat and gloves
- Own transport essential
Desirable
- Experience working with bricklayers
- Ability to mix mortar consistently
- Basic understanding of brick/block work materials
- Forklift/telehandler awareness beneficial, but not essential
- Good attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £18.75-£20.00 per hour
