Wayfield Avenue is situated in Hove,it has its own car park available for staff and is well served by public transport.
We currently have several vacancies following the retirement of staff ranging from 18 hours to 30 hours per week.
Staff work a rota with shifts of between 6 and 8 hours a day starting at either 7am / 8am / 12 noon / 2pm.

About the role
The team support service users with all aspects of daily living, this can include administering medication, assisting with washing, showering & dressing. Practical tasks such as making beds, serving meals and general tidying. Staff also support service users to access the community either just for a walk or to local shops & medical appointments.
We are looking for people who:
Have experience in providing care to vulnerable people .
Are friendly with a calming influence
Wish to support with personal care and ensure the experience of service users receiving support is dignified, respectful, provides choice, empowers individuals and maintains self-worth.
Want to help to ensure service users from diverse communites have access to services that meet individual needs, including challenging the stigma of enduring mental health needs.
Want to support service users to feel safe and well cared for.
Are able to keep accurate records e.g food & fluid charts, observations charts & daily recordings.
Want to be part of a friendly, supportive team.

Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
