Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and sanitising surfaces
- Manage stock levels, restocking ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and cleaning procedures
- Follow time management practices to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portion control
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and menu knowledge
