Senior Café Team Member – Full Time (Permanent Position)
Altitude is an independent coffee bar on Cranleigh High Street.We’re looking for a reliable and committed Senior Café Team Member to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. This is not a seasonal, holiday or temporary role — we’re looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position and takes pride in their work.
We’re a small, busy café that takes pride in being well-run, organised and consistent. Everyone plays an important role, and we rely on each other to keep standards high and the day running smoothly. This role suits someone who is dependable, hard-working, and comfortable with responsibility.
This is a hands-on role involving all aspects of the café – not just making coffee.
What the role involves:
- Training to prepare high-quality coffee and drinks
- Working on the till and handling customer orders
- Preparing and serving food
- Cleaning, washing up, and maintaining high standards throughout the café
- Supporting the team during busy periods and keeping things running smoothly
- Supervising the café and other staff members on occasion when both the manager and supervisor are absent
Like any well-run café, this role includes cleaning and upkeep as part of maintaining a professional environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum two years relevant hospitality experience, or experience running your own business
- Someone dependable who takes responsibility and shows up consistently
- A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck into all aspects of the role
- Comfortable being hands on and contributing wherever needed
- Calm, efficient and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and approachable with customers
- Flexible and reliable — this role includes weekdays and weekends

Hours:
- Full-time (35-45 hours per week on average)
- Variable shifts across all days of the week, including weekends and occasional evenings
