We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Follow care plans accurately to meet each individual's specific needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure coordinated care
- Support the organisation of activities that promote social engagement and well-being
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits or community-based support
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and respect for diverse backgrounds
