Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Clear tables and assist with the organisation of the dining area to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system, including processing cash and card transactions.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly.
- Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional manner.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities.
- A positive attitude with a passion for guest services and creating memorable dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business needs.
