Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' health and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with care home policies.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential.
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with residents, families, and team members.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is beneficial.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
