We have a fantastic opportunity for two PA’s to join a small supportive team, supporting one of our clients in the York area. This role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client with autism / learning disabilities to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community.
Our client is very outgoing and has many hobbies and interests. They particularly enjoy singing, dancing, and attending local clubs as well as playing video games whilst at home .
Hours:
An average of 18.5 hours per week
Week 1: Monday: 10am-3pm & 6pm-9am / Wednesday: 10am-4pm total = 26 hours
Week 2: Saturday: 10am-4pm / Sunday: 10am-3pm = 11 hours
A car driver is preferred but not essential.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, medication administration training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.
Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with:
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism and is not fazed by occasional displays of verbal aggression.
- Experience of supporting with personal care tasks
- Ability to help the client with budgeting
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to scribe clear and accurate notes.
- Ability to support with domestic duties and food preparation.
- Ability to create a rapport and provide companionship for the individual.
You should also have:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
