Are you an experienced Private Client Lawyer looking for the next step in your career? We are seeking a talented and ambitious Solicitor or Legal Executive with 6+ years' PQE to join our highly regarded Private Client team, with the opportunity to take on a Deputy Head of Department role.
This is an exciting position for a senior practitioner who enjoys managing complex work, mentoring colleagues, and acting as a trusted point of contact within a thriving department. You will provide support and leadership when the Head of Department is unavailable, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their management and leadership experience within a supportive environment.
The team is collaborative, knowledgeable and well supported, allowing lawyers to focus on delivering exceptional client service and high-quality legal advice.
You will manage your own caseload of wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, tax planning and related private client matters. Whilst caseloads are carefully managed and not excessive, the work is often complex and intellectually rewarding.
You will have the support of a dedicated administrative team and will work closely with colleagues across both our Hampshire and West Sussex offices.
We are looking for someone who:

Has 6+ years' PQE in Wills, Probate & Trusts work

Holds the STEP qualification

Demonstrates excellent drafting, communication and analytical skills

Provides outstanding client care and builds strong client relationships

Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team environment

Is keen to take on additional responsibility as Deputy Head of Department
