Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our aquatic education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals of various ages and skill levels, promoting safety, confidence, and enjoyment in the water. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and ability levels, ensuring all participants progress safely and effectively.
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Monitor participants’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to boost confidence and skill development.
- Enforce safety rules and procedures diligently, maintaining a secure environment at all times.
- Organise group activities and individual coaching sessions, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments for each swimmer.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure programme consistency and continuous improvement of teaching standards.
- Promote the organisation’s values and encourage participation in aquatic activities across the community.
Qualifications
- recognised Level 2 Swimming Teaching qualification or equivalent accreditation.
- Lifesaving Qualification e.g NPLQ or NRASTAC (Desired but not require)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages.
- Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Enthusiastic, patient, organised, and committed to delivering excellent instruction.
- Ability to work flexibly according to lesson schedules, including evenings and weekends if required. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching who wish to inspire others while developing their professional skills in a dynamic environment.
