We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to join our team, providing security and ensuring the safety of patrons and staff at our venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. This role is essential in maintaining a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Duties
- Monitor entry points and conduct thorough ID checks to verify age and identification
- Enforce venue policies and procedures to prevent unauthorised access or disruptive behaviour
- Respond promptly to incidents, including managing conflicts or disturbances in a professional manner
- Assist with loss prevention by observing for theft or unauthorised activities
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals on site
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with team members and management
- Ensure the venue complies with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in pub/club security roles preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- First aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and manage potentially challenging interactions
