Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Oversee food production processes, including portion control and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent hospitality, serving guests when required
- Assist in training new team members and fostering a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
