The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit two an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced 1:1 SEND Educational Support Assistants into our school community to play a key role supporting the needs of a specific pupil in Year 2.

Have experience of working with pupils within the EYFS or implementing an Early Years play-based curriculum
Have experience in supporting children with additional needs – particularly those with complex social communication and interaction needs and sensory difficulties.
Experience of the following statements would be desirable, although relevant training will be provided:
Have experience with use of a Total Communication Approach to enable pupils to communicate their needs and preferences effectively, when verbal communication is challenging. For example; objects of reference/talking mats.
Have some experience of implementing an intensive interaction approach to support the development of social communication skills in pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or complex learning difficulties.
