Healthcare Planner to join our growing Healthcare Advisory team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the future growth of our healthcare advisory service line by working with our clients to deliver innovative, sustainable, and impactful solutions.
You will make an impactful contribution to our team by delivering high-quality advisory and project services across the healthcare sector. Working collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide strategic advice to support the planning, procurement, delivery, and commissioning of major healthcare capital projects.
You will bring extensive, recent experience within the healthcare sector, alongside a strong understanding of its complex and evolving landscape. This includes knowledge of emerging clinical practice, innovative models of care, healthcare systems and technologies, and the trends shaping the future of health service delivery. Your expertise will enable clients to make informed decisions that improve outcomes for patients, communities, and healthcare providers.
Based in our central London office, this role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, supporting a healthy balance between collaboration in the office, client visits and working remotely.
How you'll contribute:
- Contribute and work alongside a diverse, talented and integrated team to plan and deliver exciting health care projects
- Use your in depth knowledge of the healthcare system and ecosystem, including primary and social care, to provide best-practice advice and hands on help for our clients in relation to health facility planning projects and other strategic health planning and advisory commissions.
- Support the definition and development of tools and techniques that support our service delivery
- Supporting business leaders with business development
- Deliver a wide variety of project deliverables such as providing clients with advice, tools and knowledge capture relating to health facility planning, including clinical and operational planning, change management, benefits realisation, service redesign, operational commissioning, functional design briefing including functional relationships and schedules of accommodation, and post occupancy evaluation.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- A tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline is desired. However, we would also welcome applications from candidate with senior level experience in health administration in a hospital or Trust.
- Recent experience within the healthcare setting and an understanding of the complex and interrelated nature of health including emerging clinical practice, innovation and trends, models of care, systems and technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the RIBA and Health Building Notes processes as well as UK design guidance standards and their applicability to health infrastructure projects.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure and achieve outcomes in a complex and challenging environment.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team and autonomously when required.
- Advanced communication and report writing skills, including experience in the facilitation and negotiation of large groups, along with the ability to engage with a broad range of people from different settings, including health consumers.
- Desire to grow and expand your skills in line with the values and culture of our organisation
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in leading collaborative teams of consultants, industry and government partners.
- Suitable qualifications relevant to the sector and delivering project consultancy services within the sector
