Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills in powder coating processes within a dynamic industrial environment. The role involves assisting with surface finishing tasks, learning the application of powder coatings, and supporting the overall production workflow. Candidates will receive comprehensive training and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation and coating application under supervision
- Support the loading and unloading of parts onto coating equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Learn to operate basic tools and equipment used in powder coating processes
- Help with inspection of finished products for quality assurance
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations
- Support the team with general warehouse duties as required
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools are desirable
- Experience in fabrication, assembly, or construction painting is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations accurately
- Previous warehouse or industrial experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills related to powder coating and surface finishing processes
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling light lifting tasks
