We are a leading specialist in Air Guns, serving customers locally and delivering nationwide via our own team of drivers. As we prepare for an exciting move to our Shooting Range in North Rauceby, we are looking for a proactive Stock Control person to join our growing team.
Please note that we are looking to relocate our business to our Shooting Range at North Rauceby, NG34 7RY this summer. You will require your own vehicle as there are no transport links to this location.
We are seeking a meticulous individual to be our stock control person to ensure our extensive stock is accurate, and to aid our mission to ensure 100% accuracy. You will be responsible for reporting to management of items that are low stock to enable us to restock before running out. We are looking for someone who is proactive, has excellent attention to detail and has initiative to put improvements into place to ensure the smooth running of the business as sales increase. This is a full-time role however we can be flexible on hours for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management - Receive and organise incoming deliveries and update stock systems. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stockroom. Conduct regular stock takes to check stock levels are accurate. Collaborate with team members to optimise stock levels.
Merchandising - Stock shelves and displays, ensuring proper placement, and the shop area is presentable.
Growth and Strategy - Identify ways to improve our current stock systems to handle increasing sales volumes.
Operations - Manage the returns/repairs process with suppliers and adjust stock levels accordingly.
Requirements
Meticulous Nature - High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are non-negotiable.
Physical Fitness - A significant part of this role will be physical. You will handle multiple daily deliveries, which include managing large, heavy boxes and unloading stock from pallets. To excel and stay safe, you should be comfortable with heavy lifting, repetitive movement, and staying on your feet throughout your shift.
Computer literate – Competent in using online software and inventory management systems.
