We are looking for a commercially driven Ecommerce Manager to own the sales performance and growth of our online retail business, operating across five high-volume websites.
This is a key role with real autonomy and the opportunity to shape how we trade online. Reporting to the Directors, you will focus on revenue growth, merchandising, pricing, promotions, and conversion optimisation while collaborating closely with our marketing and customer service teams.
This is a hybrid role based in Peterborough, with a minimum of 3 mandatory office days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall ecommerce strategy, revenue targets, and commercial priorities across five websites
- Drive revenue growth, conversion rate, average order value, and margin performance
- Plan and execute promotions, pricing strategies, and product launches
- Manage product merchandising, catalogue optimisation, and inventory visibility
- Analyse sales performance and use data to identify opportunities for growth
- Oversee loyalty programme and subscription platform (Recharge) management
- Manage payment gateway performance and optimisation
- Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns, promotions, and customer experience
- Work with the Website Manager to ensure commercial priorities are delivered on-site
- Manage and develop an ecommerce team.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an ecommerce, online trading, or digital retail role
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in a high-volume retail environment
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms (Shopify preferred)
- Experience with CRO, merchandising, promotions, and pricing strategy
- Understanding of how SEO contributes to ecommerce performance
- Commercially sharp with strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience managing or mentoring a team
- Hands-on approach, comfortable balancing strategy with day-to-day execution
- Full right to work in the UK
