Summary
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef specialising in Modern Asian and Asian Fusion cuisine to lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to become the Founding Head Chef of a brand-new hospitality concept, with the creative freedom to design menus, build your own kitchen team and help shape one of London's newest premium dining destinations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Design and develop an exciting Modern Asian menu featuring Asian Fusion dishes, bar dining, sharing plates and late-night food.
- Create innovative dishes inspired by Southeast Asian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and other Asian cuisines.
- Develop signature dishes, seasonal menus and bespoke menus for private dining, corporate events and special occasions.
- Collaborate with the bar team to create unique food and drink pairing experiences.
- Work closely with senior management to develop and grow The Manor Club's food concept and brand.
- Recruit, train, mentor and lead the kitchen team, creating a positive and high-performing working environment.
- Develop recipes, kitchen SOPs and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all dishes.
- Manage purchasing, supplier relationships, stock ordering and inventory efficiently.
- Control food costs, GP margins, portion sizes and minimise waste while maintaining quality.
- Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitor customer feedback and continuously improve menus and the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a professional commercial kitchen.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven experience creating, developing and launching successful menus.
- Strong knowledge of Modern Asian and Asian Fusion cuisine.
- Experience in one or more of the following cuisines is advantageous: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian or Filipino.
- Excellent understanding of food costing, GP management, stock control and kitchen operations.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and kitchen budgets.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience recruiting, training and developing kitchen teams.
- Thorough knowledge of UK Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification is desirable.
- Right to work in the UK, or be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.

Salary: £60,000 per annum, plus performance bonus, staff meals, employee discounts, career progression opportunities and Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for suitable candidates.
