Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sail Making Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialised sewing machines to produce high-quality sails, ensuring precision and durability. Responsibilities
- Operate sail making sewing machines to produce durable sails
- Follow detailed instruction for accurate stitching and repairs
- Inspect finished products for quality.
- Assist in preparing materials, including cutting fabric.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sewing, ideally with specialised or industrial sewing machines
- sail loft experience is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment
