Year 1 Class Teacher – Full Time
Start Date: September 2026
Now Education are delighted to be working alongside a welcoming and well-respected primary school in Liverpool, Walton (L4), who are looking to appoint a dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher from September 2026 for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Key Stage 1 team and play a key role in helping pupils build strong foundations for their future learning.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
The Role Will Include:
- Taking full responsibility for a Year 1 class
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupils as they continue their transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1
- Assessing pupils’ progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Creating a positive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
- Working closely with colleagues, support staff, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS in 2026
- Have a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early phonics development
- Be confident in managing behaviour and building positive relationships with pupils
- Be passionate about supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
