We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative to support our Furniture Hire Warehouse Manager during our busy season.
The Role
This is a hands-on warehouse role involving the preparation, maintenance and movement of event furniture and equipment. The successful candidate will help ensure our furniture and equipment leave the warehouse clean, presentable and ready for hire.
This is initially a 5-month fixed-term position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing furniture and equipment for upcoming events
- Cleaning furniture before and after hire
- Loading and unloading company vehicles
- Checking equipment in and out of the warehouse
- Carrying out basic furniture repairs and maintenance
- Wrapping, protecting and storing furniture correctly
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory management
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Reporting damaged items to management
- Supporting the wider warehouse team during busy periods
- Assisting with deliveries and collections when required
What We're Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving furniture safely
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- Previous warehouse, logistics or furniture handling experience beneficial but not essential

Hours
Typically Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime available during busy periods.
