Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of clients. The position involves driving between clients' homes and requires excellent communication skills and a caring attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with medication management as per care plans
- Help with household chores including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Follow individualised care plans to meet each client’s specific needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
- Drive safely between clients’ homes, ensuring punctuality and reliability
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is desirable
- Good IT skills for documentation purposes and communication tools
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence and confidence in driving between different locations
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: £13.75-£20.45 per hour
