We are looking for a passionate Day Porter to join the Castle to help make magical moments for guests.
Position Requirements
- A strong interest in a career as part of our hospitality Team. We are happy to consider trained and untrained porters and additional training will be provided. It is important that the candidates can demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a positive attitude within a very busy environment.
- Calmness under pressure will be important.
- Attention to detail will also be key.
- The applicant must be eligible to Work in the UK and be fit and healthy to meet the demands of the role.
Main Duties
- Collecting, unpacking, storing and dispatching linen.
- Provide all necessary equipment and items requested by the housekeepers to the rooms.
- Assist the room cleaners in general housekeeping duties, including moving heavy furniture, delivering and setting up extra beds and ensure the supplies are replenished.
- Assist in cleaning and keeping all public areas clean.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Greeting guests upon arrival with the FOH and Reception team and taking their luggage to their allocated room.
- Upon guest departure collecting the guests’ luggage from their room and placing it in their car.
- To carry out any other reasonable request made by your colleagues or management.
