About The Yorkshire Tile Company:
The Yorkshire Tile Company is a family run business which has been talking tiles since 1974, we’re celebrating our 52nd anniversary this year. In our stores we sell tiles, bathroom suites and everything in between to our retail, trade and contract customers. We have three stores across Yorkshire and one in Newcastle with our head office in the founder city of Sheffield. Our success is reliant upon friendly and helpful warehouse assistants and delivery drivers who are able to pick and prepare orders for customers in a timely efficient manner and deliver them safely to their homes.
The Role
As part of our successful distribution team you’ll be delivering orders in a presentable and cheerful manner direct to our customers who could be a retail, distribution or commercial customers. The successful candidate will be driving an 18 tonne curtainside vehicle and will hold a full, clean UK Class 2 driving licence. There are no stop overs and the successful candidate would work Monday to Friday.
The Person
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a full, clean UK Class 2 driving license and a fork lift licence
- Have a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Have a positive and friendly attitude
- Have a good level of fitness (tiles are heavy and you will need to help in the warehouse from time to time)
- Enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to work cooperatively with others
- Have experience driving a Class 2 curtain side vehicle, operating a tail lift and delivering to customers
