Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high standard of service in a busy restaurant environment. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
- Keeping the kitchen area clean and organised, including work surfaces and storage areas
- Supporting the rest of the team during service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
- Restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment and appliances
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering services is desirable but not mandatory
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures is advantageous
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn new skills is essential
