Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker to join our team, supporting various landscaping, construction, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, landscaping tasks, and general grounds maintenance. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, and turf care
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to carry out various tasks
- Support excavation activities using equipment such as excavators under supervision
- Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning of watering equipment
- Perform general maintenance of grounds and construction sites
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, levelling surfaces, and setting up necessary materials
- Support with the installation and repair of garden features or structures
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during operations
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating and maintaining equipment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Experience with construction sites or related environments is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting and digging tasks
- A valid PERSON (or equivalent) certification is preferred but not essential
- Prior experience with excavators or similar machinery is a plus
