Role overview
We are seeking a student-focused professional to join the University of Sunderland in London as Associate Lecturers in Nursing on a fixed-term basis.
This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within a dynamic and practice-focused academic environment.
The successful candidates will bring strong clinical expertise, teaching experience and a passion for supporting students to succeed in their nursing careers.
To ensure high-quality teaching and student support, we’re looking for someone who is available to teach on campus at least two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging teaching across Nursing and Public Health programmes
Support student learning through teaching, assessment and academic guidance
Contribute to clinical simulation teaching and skills development
Supervise student research projects (where appropriate)
Work collaboratively with the academic team to enhance the curriculum and student experience
Essential Requirements
NMC registration as an Adult Nurse
Experience teaching in higher education or a clinical training environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience delivering teaching in both face-to-face and online settings
Confidence using digital tools to support learning
Desirable
Experience in simulation or clinical skills teaching
Experience supervising student research projects
