The Role
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing & Heating) to join our growing team. The role involves working across multiple sites, delivering high-quality installation and commissioning work on bespoke mechanical systems, including plant rooms and high-spec heating installations.
This is a mobile role across various project locations rather than a single fixed site.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of plumbing and heating systems on residential and commercial projects
- Full installation of plant rooms, including boilers, pressurisation units, manifolds, and associated mechanical plant
- First and second fix plumbing work on high-end bespoke builds
- Installation of pipework, radiators, underfloor heating, and mechanical systems
- Working from drawings and specifications to deliver accurate installations
- Liaising with site managers, clients, and other trades
- Ensuring all work meets current regulations and high-quality standards
- Fault finding, repairs, and commissioning of systems where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment on site
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing and heating (domestic or commercial)
- Experience with plant room installations preferred/essential depending on level
- Ability to work confidently on site and interpret technical drawings
- Strong understanding of heating systems, pipework, and mechanical installations
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Gas Safe registration (advantageous but not essential depending on scope)
- Full UK driving licence (essential due to multi-site work)
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
