Are you a hands-on, mechanically minded individual with experience in manufacturing, production, milling, or process operations?
We're looking for a Line Technician / Mill Technician to join a growing and successful manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a production team where you'll play an important role in maintaining equipment performance, achieving production targets, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Role
As a Line Technician / Mill Technician, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimising production equipment while ensuring products consistently meet quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and optimising production equipment to achieve output and quality targets.
- Monitoring product quality to ensure specifications are met.
- Carrying out routine operational, hygiene, and safety inspections.
- Supporting raw material intake and finished product dispatch activities.
- Monitoring plant performance and making process adjustments where required.
- Identifying faults and responding quickly to minimise downtime.
- Assisting with planned maintenance activities and reporting equipment issues.
- Completing quality, compliance, and safety checks in line with company procedures.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards across production areas.
- Accurately completing production, quality, and stock records.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, milling, or process environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience using production systems and Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Experience
- Previous Mill Technician or Line Technician experience.
- Experience within food manufacturing or other regulated production environments.
- Understanding of HACCP, quality systems, and health & safety procedures.
- Engineering or maintenance awareness.
Shift Pattern
This position operates on a rotating:
4 On / 4 Off Shift Pattern
Applicants must be flexible to work both day and night shifts as part of the rotation.
