Fuego Tapas Bar (Bedford) are looking for a passionate and reliable S*enior Chef de partie * join our Spanish restaurant team. We are family-run and well-known for their authentic tapas, paellas, and vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere.
You will work closely with the Head Chef and General Manager to deliver consistently high-quality dishes and support both kitchen teams across our two sites.
About the Role
- Support and manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to our exacting standards.
- Maintain stock control, ordering, and kitchen documentation.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Lead and motivate junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a strong CDP ready to step up to junior sous chef (minimum 4–5 years professional kitchen experience.
- Passion for Spanish cuisine and fresh, authentic food.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- A team player who communicates well with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
