The Birch Hotel is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and committed individual to join our kitchen team as a Commis Chef / Kitchen Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within hospitality and gain experience working in a busy hotel environment. Whether you already have kitchen experience or are looking to take the next step in your culinary career, full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking duties
- Supporting chefs during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean and organised
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation, and storage
- Following food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
- Working effectively as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
