Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our professional culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily operations within the designated section of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and quality
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and presentation techniques
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage inventory to minimise waste
- Collaborate with other sections of the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during busy periods
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining consistency in quality
- Assist in training new team members and supporting ongoing staff development initiatives
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on presentation and flavour balance
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and foster a positive working environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with front-of-house staff and kitchen team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced setting
