Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medication management, and a commitment to patient care. Duties
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and support personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient service
- Oversee medication inventory, procurement, storage, and distribution to maintain safety and compliance with legal requirements
- Ensure accurate medication administration and dispensing in accordance with prescriptions and clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care plans, especially in critical settings such as ICU where specialised knowledge is required
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, stock levels, and staff performance for audit purposes
- Implement policies and procedures to uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance within the pharmacy environment
- Provide training and ongoing professional development opportunities for pharmacy staff to enhance their skills in anatomy knowledge, medication administration, and patient care
Requirements
- Proven experience in a pharmacy setting, with a strong preference for ICU experience or working within critical care environments
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication management protocols
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
- Relevant qualifications in pharmacy practice recognised by appropriate regulatory bodies
- Commitment to continuous professional development in areas such as anatomy knowledge and medication administration standards

Pay: £27,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
