Job Overview
A strong, service focused leader who can guide a team, uphold high clinical and operational standards, and ensure services run smoothly across multiple settings, including schools. You will oversee staff performance and development, lead meetings and reviews, manage flexible staff allocation across locations, and act as the first point of contact for service issues or complaints. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will deliver therapeutic interventions, maintain accurate records and clinical notes, use outcome measurement tools, and promote psychological wellbeing within partner schools and community settings across South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supportive, motivational, and clear leadership to your team.
- Oversee staff performance, competence, and adherence to Health Is One’s clinical and operational standards.
- Lead team meetings, performance reviews, inductions, and first-level performance management.
- Allocate staff across service locations and respond flexibly to changing service demand.
- Prepare, complete, and present service reports for external agencies (with director approval).
- Act as the first point of contact for service-related complaints, ensuring these are logged and handled through the correct procedures.
- Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions supporting the psychological wellbeing of children/adults.
- Maintain up-to-date appointment attendance records within the Health Is One system.
- Maintain accurate, timely Clinical Notes using the Health Is One system.
- Use required measurement tools to support all therapeutic work.
- Promote psychological wellbeing and the Health Is One service within your workplace (e.g., assemblies, classrooms, events).
Essential Requirements
- Experience of working with children or young people in a formal setting, e.g. a school, out-of-school club, voluntary organisations.
- Proven management experience with strong organisational capability
- Excellent leadership and people development skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on improving processes
- Ability to monitor KPIs, budgets, and contractual metrics, and provide performance reports to internal teams and Local Authorities
- Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with school staff
- Experience supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people
- Knowledge of issues relevant to working in an educational or learning environment
Hold a driving licence and have access to a car to travel to school locations through Moray area
Other requirements
- Enhanced DBS check
- Ability to travel between school sites across Moray area
- Confidence working with occasional challenging behaviour
