Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Manager to oversee the daily operations of our outstanding Pre-school facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for working with young children. The Early Years Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and promoting best practices within the setting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the childcare team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
- Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with statutory regulations and organisational policies
- Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and staff to promote a collaborative approach to childcare
- Organise staff rotas, manage resources efficiently, and monitor daily operations to ensure smooth running of the Pre-School
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and maintain accurate records in line with regulatory requirements
- Promote a positive organisational culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation relating to childcare and early years education
- Act as the DSL
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare settings, preferably within nurseries or early years environments
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between multiple sites or community engagement activities
- Childcare qualifications mimium Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential with at least 3 years experience working in childcare/school setting
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is advantageous
- A proactive approach to organisational challenges and problem-solving skills
Pay: £19,540.00-£23,789.00 per year
