We have an opportunity in our Mortgage Hub Team for someone to join as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser on full time basis.
Based in our Barrow In Furness branch, you will speak to customers face to face and help our customers with mortgage and protection advice.

What you’ll be doing
Being an expert in our mortgage products, you will answer and resolve mortgage related queries from our customers to meet, exceed, and continuously improve standards and quality of customer service, ensuring customer outcomes are met.
You’ll promote a customer focused culture, delivering through attitude and actions, an exceptional customer experience, helping customers find the right mortgage from our wide range of products and the right protection for themselves and their homes.
You’ll also:
- Be committed to achieving revenue growth, sales targets, and service quality.
- Manage and drive your personal sales and objective performance through generation of new business activity, cross sale conversions and exceptional customer service.
- Be an ambassador for The Cumberland, supporting local communities and nominated charities to deliver on our purpose.
- Support your management team as required in conducting internal and external business development activity to market and promote The Cumberland to increase end to end customer service.
- Challenge proposed and existing practices (e.g., procedures, policies, strategy) to assist the improvement/development of the business and achievement of business objectives and improved customer service standards. To encourage and respond positively to challenges you receive.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for candidates who have completed the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and have a proven sales record and enjoy the challenge of meeting monthly targets.
You’ll have experience of delivery in customer excellence and working in a customer-facing environment. You must be able to complete all phases of the mortgage loan process and have demonstrated knowledge in residential mortgage loan products and regulations

This is an office based working position, and the successful applicant will be required to work from our branch in Barrow in Furness.
