Chantilly Patisserie Limited is a well-established independently owned business situated in Paignton, on the south coast of Devon.
Chantilly Patisserie manufacture’s high quality handmade deliciously stylish and innovative desserts, all handmade then frozen and sold wholesale.
We are seeking a dedicated person to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the final preparation of our handmade Desserts, ensuring that each dessert meets our high standards of presentation and quality. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with a team and own your own motivations.
The hours for this role are 40 hours Monday - Friday 3pm - 11.30pm Monday - Friday.
*Responsibilities*
- Finalise the presentation of dishes before they are frozen down for shipping and wholesale to customers, ensuring each Dessert is visually appealing and meets quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including, mixing, and cooking ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with other colleagues to ensure timely and efficient production hours.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the shift supervisor.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure all desserts are completed promptly without compromising quality.
*Skills* (advanatge, but training will be given)
- Culinary skills with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or production environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and Supervisory Colleagues.
