Overview
We are looking for a Club Leader in afterschool club in our provision at Fairhouse Community Primary School in Basildon.
Staff will need to:
Must have experiences in a leadership role.
Must have experience with working with children aged 4 years to 11 years and good ICT skills, as there will be paperwork that needs to be completed and maintained.
Obtain a first aid qualification (Inhouse training).
Be available to work between Monday to Friday, term time only.
18-22 hours per week, during school term time, between 3.00pm to 6.00pm. You will be leading a team of staff working with you in After school club. Some admin work will also be included, which will be completed from home.
Job Description
- Manage and Lead the team
- Managing registers and all paperwork when running the provision
- Communicate with parents and school
- Plan activities for children of all ages from EYFS to year 6 children.
- Set up activities before the start of the sessions
- Collect and drop off children to and from classrooms
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of club refreshments
- Lead creative, stimulating and appropriate planned activities as required and lead a team in these activities (eg art, cooking, sports)
- Monitor child led activities
- Promote positive behaviour
- Clear away activities at the end of the sessions, leaving all areas clean and tidy
- Ensure materials and equipment are kept clean and safe
- Promote and lead the welfare of children and support the school in safeguarding children by following relevant policies and procedures
- Adhere to club and school health and safety policies, procedures and rules, taking reasonable care of self and others

This is a term time only position.
Hours: 3.00pm-6.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
