Job Summary
BCA Logistics is seeking a reliable and professional Trade Plate Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles efficiently and safely across various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and excellent communication skills to coordinate deliveries effectively. The ideal applicant will have previous delivery driver experience, a valid driver’s licence. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting the seamless movement of vehicles for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trade plate vehicles to transport cars between depots, clients, and other designated locations
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within specified timeframes while adhering to road safety regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each journey to identify any issues or maintenance needs
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues encountered
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with driving commercial vehicle
- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally
- Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries in a busy schedule
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK
