Title: Security Sales Consultant & Team Leader
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 6pm
Rate: £30,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience
Overview and Role Objective:
Sales are the life blood of our business. The role of Security Sales Consultant will see you maximizing the sales opportunities of our Locks, Safes and Electronic Security ranges through knowledgeable advice and excellent customer service.
As a well presented hard working individual who can work well under pressure, with the ability to multi-task and take ownership of tasks from start to finish, our Security Sales Consultant will ensure that customers receive exemplary customer care and the department operates to the highest retail standards.
Reporting to the Directors, you will ensure customers are approached in a friendly and efficient way, read customers buying signals and effectively close sales to achieve targets. You must be a self motivated individual and a confident communicator with an enthusiastic and energetic approach to meeting the responsibilities of your role.
As Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring that all team members within the department carry out their duties to their full potential and in line with company procedures. Working together to enhance services and support to customers and colleagues alike, with a ‘hands-on’ leadership approach to maximising all aspects of the Showroom and Stores functions.
Experience and Skills Required:
A background in Showroom Sales, Retail Locksmith, Safes & Architectural Ironmongery.
- Must have an understanding of locks, safes, architectural ironmongery & hardware
- Ability to apply product knowledge to match customer requirements and potential installation opportunities
- A confident and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic with a passion for retail and delivering high levels of service
- Demonstrate self motivation for the achievement of goals
- Be honest and fair in dealings with customers and colleagues
- Commitment to developing strong selling skills
- Competitor awareness and commerciality
Area’s of Responsibility
Maintain the Showroom in such a manner that increases sales and provides a professional customer experience, promoting products for both Showroom Sales as well as Installations
- Maintaining a professional sales environment within the showroom including displays, pricing, customer facing activities, promotions and overall presentation
- Carry out routine tasks within the Showroom as specified by the Directors eg: restocking and price updates
- Act as Showroom based Sales Representative for the promotion of services provided by our Installation Depts
- Develop a full understanding of our SalesOrder and Purchase Order processes within Siclops (our company database), ensuring that use complies with company procedure
- Stand in as cover in the event of staff absence where required
- Additional tasks as required for the effective running of the department
- Maintaining a tidy and orderly Stores with the necessary stock to meet all departments requirements
- Main point of contact and Team Leader for all department members, ensuring their fulfilment of the above
- This role is predominantly Showroom based, however site visits will be required in some circumstances
