The Role
Working closely with experienced commercial property lawyers, you will gain hands-on experience while gradually developing your own caseload and client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with and managing (depending on experience) a range of commercial property matters including lease renewals, new leases, and acquisitions and disposals
- Supporting senior colleagues on more complex and high-value transactions, including development matters
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documentation under supervision
- Liaising with clients in a professional and commercially focused manner
- Managing files effectively, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to support wider client service delivery
- Contributing to cross-referral opportunities and business development initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management procedures
- Taking an active role in your own learning, development, and team knowledge sharing
Candidates with an interest in enfranchisement work, including lease extensions, would be particularly welcome.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor, Lawyer, or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ–1 year PQE preferred)
- Alternatively, strong commercial property experience gained during training will be considered
- Some exposure to commercial property work is essential
- Strong technical ability and good attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy workload
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to develop professionally
- Team-focused approach with a willingness to collaborate
