About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a part time Business Support Officer (22 hours per week) to provide administrative support to the Regional Office within Yorkshire and the Humber Trading Standards Group based at 3 Racecourse Lane, Northallerton.
The role offers hybrid working, allowing you to split your time between the office and home. We can offer some flexibility in working patterns for the right candidate, with preferred days to be discussed during the interview.
As a Business Support Officer, you will carry out a variety of administrative tasks, including meeting coordination and minute taking, conducting basic research from databases, processing invoices and raising purchase orders, managing supplies, data entry, maintaining records, and email management. You will benefit from a supportive management structure, on-going personal development, and performance management. Training will be given to the appointed person.
About you:
We require a motivated and experienced administrator with excellent communication and customer care skills. The successful applicant must demonstrate strong ICT proficiency along with good literacy and numeracy skills. You must be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised, have the ability to work unsupervised and be flexible in your approach. You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
